Ho Chi Minh City has 677 luxury apartments that have been offered but not sold while Bangkok has over 31,000 units.
CBRE Vietnam has just released a survey comparing luxury apartment market in cities in Southeast Asia and said the luxury housing market in Vietnam has the lowest inventory level compared to other city in the region.
The correlation of inventory of luxury apartments in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, respectively, is only from 0 to 677 luxury apartments offering but not sold. Meanwhile, inventory of luxury apartments in ASEAN cities like Bangkok amounted to 31,624 units, Singapore (8,392), Kuala Lumpur (2,420), and Jakarta (1,123).
The report of this unit said that the standards of the luxury apartment segment in cities in Southeast Asia are not the same. In Jakarta, luxury apartments are priced at US $ 3,700 per m2 or more while Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi from US $ 4,000 per m2, Bangkok US $ 6,060 per m2. Particularly Singapore offers standard luxury apartments only projects located in the central core area labeled CCR (Project in Core Central Region).
According to Savills Vietnam, luxury to super luxury apartments in Singapore are priced at over USD 10,000 per m2 to USD 15,000-20,000 per m2. (VNE)
